Disclaimer

Children under 16 must seek permission from a parent/guardian/teacher before submitting personal details (first name/user name, age, school) – HUIYAB has taken reasonable steps to ensure this by incorporating a tick box facility. All participants reserve the right to make a handprint anonymously. Personal data is not collected for any other purpose than to demonstrate how many people are united against bullying. Although HUIYAB monitors the gallery periodically to remove any material we deem offensive, HUIYAB, Kingfisher Windows and the contributing charities take no responsibility for any dubious content uploaded by visitors. We will evaluate any submission brought to our attention.

Kingfisher Windows launched the Hands Up If You’re Against Bullying campaign in Yorkshire last year to local and national acclaim. Huge panes of glass were stationed at a National Anti-Bullying Conference where supporters of Anti-Bullying Week could decorate them with colourfully painted handprints. Hundreds of school children from the local community joined celebrities from Emmerdale, Heartbeat and Coronation Street and sporting stars from Yorkshire County Cricket Club and Leeds Rhinos to make their mark, with the finished panes going on display at several events during the official Anti-Bullying Week 2007. This year, the opportunity to make a virtual handprint online takes the campaign nationwide, giving teachers and pupils the chance to easily access anti-bullying resources.
